Ghost

GhostHere’s a question I get asked all the time: do you have to disclose if you think there is a ghost in your house?

The short answer is no. While there are currently some cases working their way through the courts about disclosure of past murders, stigmas do not have to be disclosed. Whether there was a murder twenty years ago, someone died naturally in the home last month, or you think that a centuries-old ghost has moved into the attic, you are not legally obligated to tell a potential buyer. However, you might want to save yourself the headache of a possibly sensitive buyer suing you and disclose that information if you know it.
